Gareth Dickson is a solo acoustic guitarist based in Glasgow. Around half of this material is instrumental, the other half being songs. It is all recorded in straight takes with no overdubs using a steel string guitar and some effects (analogue delay and reverb). These tracks are all home recordings made over the last three years or so. Some of them on analogue tape and others straight to DAT(digital audio tape). While the music is played on a guitar it draws as heavily on recent electronic music as it does on some of the fingerpickers of the past.
